About Me

My name is Joshua and I sell under the eBay id pipsmker. I have been selling on eBay since January of 1999!  Over the past 8 years I have met some great people and hope to meet many more for years to come.  I primarily sell toys from my youth.  I was a kid in the 80's and I think the toys produced then are the best around.  I remember starring at GI Joe, Star Wars and Transformers toy catalogues or the backs of the carded or boxed figures and vehicles trying to figure out what I wanted next!  Not to mention the hours spent setting up bases and fighting scenarios just to crash everything in a matter of minutes as the battles ensued!  The toys are what got me here and I now have well over 10,000 auctions under my belt!

I have worked to integrate the skill sets I've learned from my full time job into my eBay business.  I am consultant to the Federal Government in my full time job and am also a Project Management Professional (PMP).  I have been able utilize the principles of sound project management and I believe that has helped me achieved much of my success.    Understanding people, process and tools can make all the difference. 

I have been asked several times what my eBay id means.  My father created the name pipsmker as an AOL account in 1997.  He came up with the name because he smoked a pipe and due to the character limitation on AOL "pipe smoker" became "pipsmker".  Due to a very unfortunate incident my father passed away in 1998 and I took over that email account and eventually created an eBay id using the same name.  Feel free to email me anytime at pipsmker@gmail.com.

As far as my credibility goes I will let my 3500+ Feedbacks show you that I run a tight ship. I am an eBay Power Seller and I have a Premier Paypal account with 2000+ verified buyers!!  In addition, I have joined the #1 Community of Trusted Sellers, SquareTrade.  See above.  This also means that you have are covered by a "Buyer Protection Policy" when bidding on my auctions!   What I want is for my customer's to rest easy and assured that whatever it is you buy will arrive safely in your hands within a quick time frame.
